The most useful demo is your own work. Pick a job whose dimensions, quantities and finished appearance you already know. Keep a copy of the original artwork available.

1. Check your computer and printer setup

The public downloads are for Windows x64 and Apple Silicon Macs. File-output profiles include Hoson i3200, i1600 and XP600; BYHX i3200; Senyang XP600; and WellPrint / Lancelot M1630 XP600. Check the modes and separate Direct Print requirements.

A printhead name alone does not establish compatibility. Confirm your controller, firmware and output mode. File output and Direct Print availability depend on the exact configuration.

If you are unsure, ask in the NXRIP community with those details before attempting printer output.

2. Install and create a tester license

Download NXRIP for your computer. After installation, open the License menu in the app and create a tester license.

  1. Enter your name and email in the tester-license flow.
  2. Use Get key to request the key by email.
  3. Follow the instructions in the email and application to activate the license on this computer.
Free during public testing. Your tester license is temporary and tied to this computer. Access can end when the testing program closes. Contact us for licensing questions.

3. Prepare an order you know

Start with PNG or JPEG artwork, a folder, a supported ZIP archive or a multi-page PDF. Check the imported items, dimensions and copy counts against the order before arranging the sheet.

  • Empty margins: crop transparent space that does not belong in the layout.
  • Weak resolution: inspect the warning and try local 4× AI upscale where appropriate. Compare the result; upscale cannot recreate missing original detail.
  • Soft transparency: review halftone processing on artwork that needs it.
  • Layout: try rectangular or shape-based nesting with the sheet width and gap you actually intend to use.
  • Before output: inspect the white layer, quantities, layout and any remaining warnings.

4. Approve a small physical test

Set up output before the first print. This guide is an evaluation checklist; printer setup is specific to your configuration. If output and color settings are not configured yet, ask for setup guidance in the community or email NXRIP. Include your operating system, controller, printhead, firmware and intended output mode.

When your output configuration is confirmed and the sheet is ready, make a small test through the supported workflow for your printer. Use the ink, film, powder, profile and curing process you intend to run in production.

Inspect dimensions, color, white coverage, edges and the finished transfer. A screen preview alone does not establish how the entire production chain will behave.

Do not assume another RIP’s color settings transfer unchanged. Community color configurations on the download page are starting points for their named setups, and need testing with your materials.

Let your own order make the case

Compare the things that matter in your shop:

  • How much manual preparation did this particular order need?
  • Did the chosen layout use the film effectively at the required gap?
  • Were the quantities, white layer and warnings clear before output?
  • Does the physical test meet the standard you need to sell?

Keep your current working setup available while evaluating. Once the result earns your confidence, decide which jobs to move next.
