Your first print in NXRIP

Pick an order you’ve printed before so you can compare the work and the result. Keep a separate copy of the original artwork.

1. Check that your printer is supported

The public downloads are for Windows x64 and Apple Silicon Macs. File-output profiles include Hoson i3200, i1600 and XP600; BYHX i3200; Senyang XP600; and WellPrint / Lancelot M1630 XP600. Check the modes and separate Direct Print requirements.

Compatibility depends on the controller, firmware and output mode as well as the printhead. Check these details in the guide.

If you are unsure, ask in the NXRIP community with those details before attempting printer output.

2. Install the app and get your key

Download NXRIP for your computer. After installation, open the License menu in the app and create a tester license.

Enter your name and email in the tester-license flow.
Use Get key to request the key by email.
Follow the instructions in the email and application to activate the license on this computer.

Free during public testing. Your tester license is temporary and tied to this computer. Access can end when the testing program closes. Contact us for licensing questions.

3. Get the artwork ready to print

Open PNG or JPEG images, a folder, a ZIP archive or a PDF. Set the print sizes and quantities. When importing a whole order, check the file list.

Empty margins: crop transparent space that does not belong in the layout.
Low-quality image: turn on AI upscaling. NXRIP enlarges the image 4× and smooths visible pixelation.
Semi-transparent image: turn on halftoning to get it ready for DTF printing.
Layout: set the film width and spacing. NXRIP can arrange the prints in rectangles or around their shapes.
Before printing: inspect the white layer, quantities, layout and any remaining warnings.

4. Make and inspect a test print

Set up output before the first print. If you haven’t set up the printer and color settings yet, ask for setup guidance in the community or email NXRIP. Include your operating system, controller, printhead, firmware and intended output mode.

Once the printer is set up, make a small test print. Use your usual inks, film, powder, color profile and curing settings.

Transfer the test onto fabric. Check the size, color, white underbase and edges of the design.

For your first test, try the color settings on the download page. Choose the ones for your ink and printer, then check the color. Settings from another RIP may need adjusting.

What to compare

Compare the things that matter in your shop:

Was there less work to do by hand?
Did the prints fit well on the film?
Was it easy to check quantities and the white underbase?
Are you happy with the finished print?
